Jay Peak sits just south of the Canadian border and piles up more snowfall than any resort in the East, averaging nearly three hundred sixty inches each season. Its signature sixty passenger aerial tram and a fleet of seven additional lifts whisk skiers over about two thousand one hundred fifty vertical feet to eighty one trails and legendary glades spread across roughly three hundred eighty five acres. An eighty percent snowmaking network joins forces with those famous storms to keep the mountain spinning from mid November into early May, often giving it the longest season in New England. Two distinct base areas, Tramside and Stateside, serve up everything from casual pubs to a full indoor waterpark and ice arena so the après options are as deep as the powder. For skiers that do not mind the longer trek north, Jay rewards the effort with big mountain snow, uncrowded slopes, and an independent vibe that feels a world apart.
