Trip Descriptions:

The Premier Whitewater Rafting Trips are what whitewater is all about. This is when the Lehigh River is running full and fast. Snow melts and spring rains plus the periodic dam releases specific for whitewater rafting, give rafters class II-III+ water. Rafters will raft sections 1 or 2, which are in the Lehigh Gorge. This section of river is from White Haven to Jim Thorpe, PA and generally lasts 4-5 hours. This is our most popular trip and is a must do in the world of whitewater! Age requirements are 9 years old.

The Family Style Whitewater Rafting is a perfect trip for the whole family! Enjoy miles of easier Class I and II white water. Approximately 2-3 1/2 hours on the water. You’ll enjoy real rapids, real adventure – but also some calmer spots along the way that are popular for a cool, refreshing, summertime swim. The trip will last 2.5-4 hours and has an age requirement of 5 years old.

Located in Pocono Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania, the Lehigh River is a great place to embark on a whitewater rafting adventure. From relaxing, family friendly whitewater rafting down miles of easy Class I and II rapids to more challenging adventures like our Whitewater Marathon, you’ll find it all at Whitewater Challengers on the Lehigh River.

Flowing through valleys between the Pocono and Appalachian Mountains, the Lehigh River features several sections of rapids. Therefor making it the perfect place for recreational outdoor activities like whitewater rafting and inflatable kayaking. Natural rapids are further enhanced on dam release days, when extra water intensifies the rapids, providing an even more exciting rafting experience.

With Class I, II, III and III+ rapids available, Lehigh River rafting is ideal for any and all rafters, from beginners to seasoned experts. Lehigh River rafting trips in Pennsylvania  are available during the spring, summer and fall. With talented river guides, adrenaline-pumping rapids and the chance to explore one of the premier whitewater rivers in the Northeast, you’re sure to have a great time no matter when you choose to go!
